I truly believe in your local church. I've traveled to hundreds of churches in more than a dozen countries, and can honestly say I've met wonderful people in each one. People who love God and are committed to serving Him. Maybe it's just me, but I see God working through local churches everywhere I go.
Early in my Christian journey, I became convinced the multiplication of workers was the key to finishing the work. And that disciple-making was the key to raising up those workers. Since then, I've grown convinced the local church is the ideal environment to provide that training.
The counsel, at least, is clear: "Every church should be a training school for Christian workers" (CS, p. 59). That means your church, too! Were we to follow this counsel, we'd soon have an army of workers. And our churches would begin growing rapidly. Exciting thought, isn't it?
To unleash that potential, FAST has made a firm commitment to help every church become a training center.
The Explosion Factory
By registering with FAST, as a branch training center, you have joined a network of churches spanning the globe. You've taken the first step toward becoming more intentional about training your members, and ultimately mobilizing them for service. The task may seem daunting, but you are not alone!
We've set aside 2018 to focus on our branch training centers. We've made exciting plans to ramp up all our tools and training, and make them more useful to you as a training center leader. In addition to giving your members access to classes, booklets, and study guides, we want to give you, as a leader, step by step instructions on how to use each of those resources.
That is where our Explosion Factory comes in.
Beginning in February, we plan to release one new "module" each month with a detailed ministry plan you can implement in your church. Some of the topics we've got scheduled for 2018 and beyond include:
- Building a prayer ministry
- How to promote memorization
- Cultivating spiritual gifts
- Launching a Bible reading program
- Retaining new members
- Using social media
- Resources for Prayer Meeting
- How to engage visitors
- Improving church communication
- And much more...
Each of these modules will come with detailed, step by step instructions as well as the tools and resources you need to make it work. Carefully implement these strategies, and a year from now, your entire church could be transformed.
Over the next few days, our "Explosion Factory" will be cranking out its first module, with a tutorial on how to promote a FAST featured class. And we've got a special all-new class lined up for March you are going to want to promote. Look for the info in your email. We'll also post the module in your training center for future review.
We've got a big, bold vision for your church: to see it become a training center. And we're here to help. Let's pray 2018 will be the year it all comes together!

Sorry I missed this question Ian. Unfortunately I don't have anything specifically on Church Planting. Lot's of resources for training members, etc--but not on the church planting process per se. You might find the Jump Start lessons in the GUIDES area worth going through with your church planting team... |

Thanks for the preview of what’s to come. I can understand the need of step by step instructions to help stimulate progress, development and personal creativity. As the Bible is our manual, we ought to realise how Jesus gave His disciples instruction and guidance to carry on the work of Gospel, so as to carry on the same work by God’s grace! May we have His joy as we keep His commandments and abide in His love! John 15:8-118 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. 9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. 10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. 11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.! | |||
