Starting in just a bit over 10 days, we'll be re-launching the most popular course we've ever offered: REVIVE. It's a 10-day upper room experience. And it's returning February 1. This is a LAB only training event. Join now to participate...

Years ago, someone gave me a small booklet entitled Revival & Reformation, and it had a powerful impact on my life. In many ways, that booklet shaped the whole direction of my life, as it helped set me on a quest for the experience described in the book. And I've been pursuing it ever since. That was more than 30 years ago!

The booklet begins with this well known quotation:

A revival of true godliness among us is the greatest and must urgent of all our needs. To seek this should be our first work.

It's a statement worth reading again. Revival is our greatest need. It should be our first work. Clearly, it's important...

Why We Need Revival

There are many reasons we need revival, but here are a few that stand out to me:

1) Our focus has been distracted.

The things of this world capture our attention and divert us from eternal realities. Whether it be bad things that disturb us, or good things that entice us, all too often we allow our focus to be diverted from Christ.

2) Our communion has been disrupted.

When the heart is distracted, communion with Christ is disrupted. Devotions become inconsistent, or rote and mechanical. It becomes difficult to enjoy constant communion through the day.

3) Our faith has been diminished.

Without an abiding connection to Christ, it is hard to maintain a strong vibrant faith. Faith is strengthened by beholding Christ, and weakened by broken or intermittent communion.

4) Our vision has been discouraged.

Those weak in faith find it difficult to lay hold on the presence of God in their life, and the obstacles they face appear insurmountable. Discouragement takes root. And defeat becomes inevitable.

“Defeat is the natural and unavoidable result of living without daily revitalization.”

It is the natural and unavoidable result of living without daily revitalization. Without daily renewal. Without daily revival...

Reversing the Process

When the Holy Spirit comes in, the whole process reverses. The heart is quickened, softened, energized, and ultimately captivated by Christ. Our thoughts reach out to Him for personal communion, both in our morning devotions and throughout the day. And a strong connection leads to a living, vibrant faith. Which in turn, emboldens us to attempt great things for God. The life transitions from failure to triumph!

I personally began a quest for revival more than 30 years ago. And I've seen God work in amazing ways through the years. I've also gleaned insights here and there that have helped me at least begin to understand this process. And now I'm sharing that information in our upcoming class: REVIVE...

This class explores the exact process by which we experience revival. We'll learn how to open our hearts to God so the Holy Spirit can come in. And how the Spirit, when internalized, not only changes our outward actions, but the inner desires and motivations that drive our outward actions.

We'll look at how the Holy Spirit empowers us for ministry, and why it's absolutely vital to have this baptism of power if we want to partner with God in the work of saving souls.

And finally we'll explore what God has to say about Earth's great final revival, and how we can be part of it.

It's a vitally important class, with life and death information every believer should know. It's the culmination of my personal 30-year quest. And now it's back again at FAST.

Join us, as we pursue a personal, and profound encounter with Christ--together!

I did check your enrollment Noemie, and it doesn't look like you are signed up for the class. And unfortunately it's already started. :( We do have another great class open right now you might want to check out: Made in Heaven. Make sure you get to the confirmation screen that says "Congratulations" and that you are signed up.

That is indeed a beautiful testimony Gayle! There truly is power in the Word. I personally believe the final revival with be closely connected with the internalization of Scripture. Many testimonies like this over the years, and my own personal experience helps reinforces this idea. :)

Pastor Dan, I don't receive any link for the start of the Rivival 10 days study, is there a problem with my email.

Blessings

Gayle great testimony. His Word is Spirit and Life -John 6:63It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.-
powerful to transform. Amen!

Just having scripture on the tip of my tongue is transforming my spiritual life. I can pray God’s words back to Him—those words that have power to create worlds and recreate life! I can spontaneously encourage others, too, as God brings the appropriate scriptures to mind at the right time. I sometimes wake up in the morning with a text on my mind that becomes meaningful to me. When I find myself thinking about an issue, or situation, God adds His voice to my thoughts through scripture—and so my understanding of the issue, and my conclusions are quite different that they might be if it was just my thoughts alone. I’m enjoying the memorization process, and have a huge list of verses to add in the future.

You are very welcome Noemie! I'm glad you will be joining us for REVIVE!

I am so happy to be part of this because God knows how eager I am to receive that power that He has available for His children especially in the last day. I really need some help so I can be connected to that higher power so when Jesus comes I can be with Him. Thank you Dan for this opportunity.

Hi Miriam, glad you will be joining us for REVIVE. I'm sure it will be a great blessing. And you are more than welcome for any help we can be to you in climbing higher in your walk with God. That's what we're here for! :)

Hi Dan and FAST community. I praise God for that heart-touching message "Our Most Urgent need"-- one that I needed right now! ROCKET has been and is a great blessing to me....am able to implement in my own pace....exciting and poses a sense of urgency. Actually, it has been a daily battle for me to keep on ...but I know God's grace is always sufficient. Kindly pray for me!!! Thanks so much.

Just like each one of you out there, I look forward, too for REVIVE. Thank you again Dan and team for your undisturbed commitment towards helping people to come up higher with the Lord.. May the Lord provide for all your needs, materially and spiritualy. We keep you in our prayers!!

Hi David! I'm looking forward to REVIVE as well. I think 2019 is going to be our best year yet. Can't wait to see how it all unfolds...

Greetings, Pastor Dan, & all FAST Friends, in the Reviving, Reforming, & Renewing Name of Jesus Christ!

Thank you so much for this MM! I appreciated what you shared regarding the call to experience this "most urgent of all our needs."(A revival of true godliness among us'). "To seek this should be our first work."

It reminded me of what Paul says in II Corinthians 3:17,18Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. . . . But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. as you stated, "how the Spirit, when internalized, not only changes our outward actions, but the inner desires and motivations that drive our outward actions."

The Spirit is given to those who ask in faith(Luke 11:13If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?)
The Spirit is given to those who obey Him (Acts 5:32And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.) And,
The Spirit is given to those who wait upon Him(Luke 24:49And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.;Acts 1:7,8And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. . . . But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.)

I am so looking forward to the REVIVE Class coming up!

Blessings to you, Pastor Dan & Fast Community!
Thank you for how you, through the Lord, has helped to transform my life through the wonderful ministry of FAST!
Sincerely,
Brother David

I see you got your request posted Diane! Good job. Sounds like an exciting project...

Dan, thank you for the suggestion about the lab prayer team. I covet those prayers. I will try to navigate my way there.

Sounds good. It starts February 1.

I hope to look at it tonight Dan. I'll see whether it makes sense to keep what I have, add, or adjust. Anyway, looking forward to Revive!

I double checked Darci, and yes, your account has been approved for your training center. And that means you should have access now to all our regular classes, tools, study guides, etc. I'll double check to make sure our notifications are working. But you can confirm by clicking CENTERS at the top of any page.

Unfortunately, LAB membership is only open to individual partners however--because of the level of coaching support we provide for our LAB only events. And double unfortunate, that includes REVIVE.

Click the CLASSES tab for a list of the classes available to you, and which are Lab Only...

our church just became a training center. I am excited about this and like to claim partial responsibility for it. I want to take as much advantage of it as possible. So Dan does this mean that I am already in the lab? I see that to take Revive you need to be in the lab but I don't know if I already am or not. In fact, come to think of it, I never got any kind of conformation that I had joined my church's training center.

Diane, you have a note a few comments down from George. George, to tag someone, tap their picture and it inserts the correct code wherever you want to put their first name--and notifies them you mentioned them.

You are welcome Carole. Revival is important!

So glad you had a wonderful experience Floride. The first time we did this, the regular R&R program followed on the exact next day. So many did both, which worked out great. This time we're doing it to launch out our Journey program. But we somehow need this emphasis year round, don't we?

Glad to hear this reading spoke to you Patricia. It may be you can work the word revive into your purpose statement and keep most of the other work you've done. I sense the Lord was leading you through ROCKET. Maybe there's a way to build on it rather than replace it. I'm sure the Lord will lead you...

I am excited about this opportunity, Dan. The reading hit home, enough to make me think about using the quote as the basis of a mission statement and Revive as my word. I will have to consider it this evening. Praise God for your willingness to share what you are learning.

Hi Dan, I’m very excited about this and hope the Holy Spirit will speak to my heart during these 10 days. I just finished a 10 days of prayer with the NAD, and the theme was: A Deeper Experience. I invited the church to join me, but only a few people participated. Every morning and every night for 10 days we got on a prayer line for prayer and devotion. We did it in French and Creole in the morning, and in English in the evening for for our young people. My most requested was to pray for a revival in the church for God to touch our hearts an open our eyes
to see how to serve Him better and do what He wants us to do in our communities. It was a very rewarding experience and from that we put together a prayer group that will meet together every morning on the phone. My hope is that we really get a deeper experience with God and stay connected to Him very day of our lives.
So, I’m so excited about this Revive class and can’t wait for it to start.
Thank you so much for always helping us to climb higher in our walk with God!
God bless your ministry!

I am presently seeking a revival within. What I need most, is depending on God every day, through out the day. His Spirit is vital. Halmut Halbeil wrote about Revival and Reformation. It's so needed.
Thank you
BLESSINGS. CAROLE

Shalom aleichem Diane Burnett.

We're definitely no match for the enemy without the energizing power of the Holy Spirit Ann. And it needs to be a constant, ongoing experience. Good post.

So thrilled to hear the experience you are having Diane, and that FAST could play some small part in that. :) Sounds like you have bit off a really exciting ministry goal for 2019. Please share a prayer request in the LAB prayer chapel. Let's get our prayer team praying about this!
Posted by Diane Burnett on 01/21/19
I see how all the programs of FAST are linked together. The Breakout Memory Class began the work of strengthening me with the WORD being constantly in my mind. Then ROCKET came at a time that pulled all my thinking into a purpose with goals and targets, which has initiated a ministry project with a team to purchase property and set up a retreat/refuge center here in AZ. But I have been praying and realizing that without the power of God in me and the team, we won't go far. So here we come to REVIVE. This is God's gift to us to bring a revival personally and as a whole. I am excited for February. May God even now prepare us for the event! Thank you Br. Dan!
Posted by Ann Lavenburg on 01/21/19
Yes, it is a constant effort to focus our attention on our connection with God. I find my mind wandering at times when I read the Bible to where I have read the words but not absorbed the meaning and I have to read them again with focus. Satan is very good at distracting us even with good things and we have to be alert to his tactics. I Peter 5:8Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:.

Can't wait for the new REVIVE class to open up. It's going to be great! And it all begins February 1, 2019...
Posted by Dianne Cavaney on 12/08/16
My desire is for a closer relationship with Jesus but I don't know how to experience that. This year I have tried to apply the principles I have learned from reading Pressing into His Presence by Shelley Quinn to my prayer life but how easy it is for the way we do things to become a mere form rather than a deepening, meaningful experience with God. I want to go much deeper with my Heavenly Father, His Son, and the Holy Spirit.

I also want to have the power of the Holy Spirit guiding me and giving me a spiritual connection with people in my community as I meet them on the doors during my literature ministry.

Thanks to each of you for sharing your desire for revival. Please make sure you are signed up for the intensive and then tell all your friends. Let's pray God does something special in all our lives...
Posted by Colleen Veltri on 12/06/16
I have found that in the past year my focus has been distracted and my devotions are inconsistent thereby my walk with Christ is fraught with dead ends, blind alleys and twisted paths in the dark. Even though I continue to be active in my church I never seem to be able to complete any of the spiritual projects or goals I have set for myself. This leads to a feeling of being a hypocrite with periods of discouragement and hopelessness. I am praying that REVIVE :: 2017 will help me to get started again on the path Jesus has prepared for me. Thank you for never taking my name off the list.
Posted by Diane Castanon on 12/06/16
My desire for a daily revival in my life, is very strong. I desire that others experience Jesus through me. To see Jesus in me, to hear Jesus in my tone and words, and to realize the presence of Jesus through my actions. Revival is vital to making this a reality.
Posted by Clara Peredo on 12/05/16
I truly need a revival. There are so many that need to see Jesus in me. I believe when Jesus is me. I would like to have all his character. There are so many hurting and are suffering.
Posted by Dan Vis on 12/05/16 - Coach
Hey Jason, so glad you are going to be in REVIVE :: 2017. I enjoyed your comments very much in the Breakout Challenge. Appreciate how you are hanging on there in your church.

Fact is, we all need Revival. Let's invite everyone we can to participate, and truly pray for an outpouring of God's Spirit in all our lives!
Posted by Jason Diehl on 12/05/16
Oh boy can I relate to the issues presented in this post, and the need for Revival.

I ended up landed as the Elder of this small church with 14-15 in attendance each week, and gusts of up to 20. But over the last year it's been fraught with all of the things here in this message. Both on a personal level and on the church level.

Now church attendance is in the 4-6 range, and due to people leaving I'm now the Elder, Clerk, and Treasurer. Boy number 4 is piling on hard. The devil has a lot to work with to make me feel discouraged.

I don't think I've done anything to run anyone off, but I feel as though I'm failing at keeping people encouraged and engaged. They are leaving because they are easy targets by the devil. Maybe that's not all my fault, but I feel responsible for what someone better suited to my position could have prevented in my same shoes. (but then again maybe I'm wrong and I did run everyone off)

I can't wait to start the Revive 2017 classes. I need this very badly, even if this church disappears and I have to go somewhere else. I need it for my own salvation to pick myself out of the emotional ditch that I feel I'm stuck in.
